Respite

Many families are faced with a difficult issue: how to take a vacation while at the same time bearing responsibility for the care of an older relative. Across the country, a growing number of individuals are faced with caring for their elderly parents. Our Family Respite Program offers a brief relief, or "respite," from caring for an older family member and it works! The program enabled a woman to leave the hospital, stay at our Health Center for one month while she strengthened her healing fracture, and then return home. At the time she left our Center, her husband was confident that he could continue to provide her recovery care. Without this respite service, her husband would have had the burden of her total recuperation at home, alone.

Hospice

We all envision and hope for the comfort of home, surrounded by our friends and family for our last moments. Instead many find themselves in a hospital-like setting, alone during those crucial last days.

We recognize how important home, loved ones and support are to the terminally ill and have designed a home-like supportive alternative for those in need of end-of-life care.

The Comfort Care Program was created to ensure comfort within four areas:

Environmental Comforts
Comfort Care rooms allow unrestricted private visitation with immediate family members, complete with television, refreshment stocked refrigerator, and overnight accommodations.
Medicinal Comforts
Comfort Care physicians understand pain control and work to keep the terminally ill as pain free as possible.
Emotional Comforts
Comfort Care clinician’s support the complex emotional needs of both the terminally ill and their extended family. Comprehensive care planning and support enable everyone to focus on the needs of the patient.
Spiritual Comforts
Comfort Care spiritual counselors offer the terminally ill and their family an opportunity to express faith.

Allow us to support you through this difficult time. If you have a loved one who would benefit from our Comfort Care Program, please call to arrange a consultation.
