RESPITE CARE
Many families are faced with a difficult issue: how to take a vacation while at the same time bearing responsibility for the care of an older relative. Across the country, a growing number of individuals are faced with caring for their elderly parents. Our Family Respite Program offers a brief relief, or "respite," from caring for an older family member. This program also admits patients that are recovering from surgery before going home, relieving the caregiver of the stress of such a situation. The Blaire House Family Respite Program works.
“Respite is designed to give family members time away from their constant care giving. Yet it also helps people with Alzheimer’s and related illnesses by involving them in programs that stimulate them in ways that slow the progression of the disease. This can make the caregiver’s task less burdensome and delay institutionalization.”

HOSPICE CARE
We all envision and hope for the comfort of home, surrounded by our friends and family for our last moments. Instead many find themselves in a hospital-like setting, alone during those crucial last days.
We recognize how important home, loved ones and support are to the terminally ill and have designed a home-like supportive alternative for those in need of end-of-life care.
The Comfort Care Program was created to ensure comfort within four areas.
Allow us to support you through this difficult time. If you have a loved one who would benefit from our Comfort Care Program please call to arrange a consultation.
