treatment program for elders

West Side House is a 91 bed Geri-psych skilled nursing facility, specializing in the stabilization and treatment of elderly residents who have an extensive history of psychiatric and behavioral difficulties.

We accept those residents for whom traditional nursing home placement has not been successful. West Side House is the only facility in central Massachusetts dedicated entirely to the care of Geriatric Psychiatric disorders and related diseases. We have been providing special physical, psychological, emotional, and protective care to our residents for over 25 years.

Our residents come from a variety of backgrounds and have a wealth of life experience. In addition to medical issues, all have been diagnosed with major mental illness and require more structured levels of supervision. At West Side House, they are involved with programs which help them to stabilize, maintain their self esteem, and learn new coping skills.
