PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS: West Side House is a Geri-Psych facility which provides skilled nursing
care to a large population of veterans who have seen service from
World War II to Korea and Vietnam; and
WHEREAS: West Side House is home to many of these brave and selfless veterans
who have made great sacrifices so that Americans may continue to live
in liberty and freedom; and
WHEREAS: It is only appropriate that the citizens of Worcester pause on this day to
honor America’s veterans and to express our gratitude for their courage
and sacrifice; and
WHEREAS: West Side House joins the rest of the nation in honoring all veterans
through a special ceremony today, November 3, 2006 honoring West Side
House’s veterans individual and collective contributions to preserving the
freedom that Americans hold dear.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Timothy P. Murray, Mayor of the City of Worcester, do hereby proclaim Friday, November 3, 2006 to be:
WEST SIDE HOUSE VETERANS DAY
in Worcester, and urge all of our citizens to join in recognition of the efforts given by West Side House residents in the service of our country.
